Captain Henry Hallam Parr
Henry Hallam Parr of the 13th (Somersetshire) Light Infantry was the Military Secretary to Sir Bartle Frere, Governor of Cape Colony and High Commissioner for Southern Africa. The author gives an account of the military events on the Frontier and of the Zulu War. He was a member of the patrol led by Major Wilsone Black of the 24th which on February 4th, 1879 discovered the bodies of Melvill and Coghill at Fugitives' Drift. This account was first published by C Kegan Paul & Co. in 1880.
