Two Victoria Crosses and seventeen Distinguished Conduct Medals were awarded to members of the 41st for gallantry during the campaign. The Regiment disembarked at Portsmouth on 28th July 1856, and on the following day was together with other Crimea veterans reviewed by Queen Victoria at Aldershot.
